Loving the updates. Why not call the collapsing die Void Die to match with the Blazing die?
Rules for Combat 1) I like the mechanics a lot; 2) could be abstracted into rules for sophisticated or group challenges. Combat is a challenge, so is figuring out a dangerous wilderness or running a ship, so you might as well allow that to permit the game breathing room.
Hey Gabe! Thank you for yet another invaluable feedback!
I haven't exactly thought of challenges, but I did thought about use this mechanic for "social combat" too, which I ultimately disliked because it would imply that "everything is combat". But to make it originally abstract and therefore more flexible is so smart! I'll surely do some tests of how can it be done! Thank you!!
About the imploding dice name, I did have thought of Void Dice, but gave up on it because it sounded kinda sci-fi for me (which is silly, I know, but...). I've been considering "Gloom Dice" instead.
Thank you again for your kind words and clever feedback!
OOOhhh I like gloom!
I think the issue with social encounters is to not imply that they are a competition of wills?
